Wikipedia, a site known as the Encyclopedia of the Internet world, is celebrating 20 years of its founding. Especially when a person’s introduction or reference to an event is discovered. To celebrate 20 years, a special website 20.wikipedia.org has been launched.
Selected journalists from around the world participated in this press conference organized by video call. It included only Amar Ujala among Hindi publishers from India.
The lack of all information in Indian languages on Wikipedia is also a matter of great concern for them. In such a situation, they either do not get the information they want in the language or they are incomplete and machine-translated.
They get 750 million page views per month from India. They look at India with utmost importance and want Yagdan to grow and users as well.
Jimmy said that people are willing to submit their information. This is a big challenge. We want only the right information available on Wikipedia that is free for all. One problem is that one’s right becomes a wrong B.
In response to another question, Catherine said that it is a coincidence that most of our contributors are women. However, we do not promote any kind of gender discrimination.
