Odisha’s health director said that 62 passengers who returned from Britain are not picking up their phones.
He said that he may have given wrong information in the declaration. From November 30 to December 21, a total of 181 passengers returned from Britain to Odisha.
Bhubaneswar: About 62 passengers who returned to Odisha from Britain are yet to be found. Their search has not been completed yet. An officer had informed about it on Monday.
However, Director of Public Health Niranjan Mishra said yesterday that there is no reason to panic as these 62 people have completed their quarantine period. These 62 people are not picking up their phone.
Niranjan Mishra had said, “We are trying to trace them so that their genome sequencing can be done.” From November 30 to December 21, a total of 181 passengers returned from Britain to Odisha. Of these, 119 people have gone through the investigation of covid-19 and six have been found infected with the virus. Dr. Mishra said that he may have given incorrect information in his declaration, due to which it is not possible to find him.
Current status of Corona in Odisha
With 263 new cases of covid-19 in Odisha, the number of infected in the state increased to 3,29,001 on Tuesday.. In the new cases, 151 cases are from different isolation centers .
No new cases have been reported since Monday in four districts Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Koraput. At present, 2,688 patients are being treated in Odisha, while 3 lakh 24 thousand 392 patients have become healthy so far. The official said that 26 thousand 722 samples were tested in Odisha on Monday.
