Varanasi: Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Nyas and vice president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said on Friday that the construction of Ram temple will begin from Makar Sankranti. Rai said that the team of big engineers and scientists of the country is working to make the temple strong and longevity. It is noteworthy that Champat Rai reached Varanasi to attend the meeting of the Sant Samiti.
The temple will be 360 feet long and 235 feet wide
Addressing reporters at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad office, Rai said that experts from the Indian Institutes of Technology located in Mumbai, Guwahati and Chennai are engaged to strengthen the temple.
The map of the temple will be prepared by Makar Sankranti. He told that the temple will be 360 feet long and 235 feet wide. The height of the peak of the temple will be 161 feet. He told that to go to the temple, devotees would have to climb six and a half sixteen feet up 32 stairs.
