India vs England: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India for the first two matches of the four-match Test series against England. All-rounder Akshar Patel has been included in Team India for the first time for the first two Tests against England.

All-rounder Washington Sundar, who made his fourth Test against Australia, has also been included in the Indian team for the first two Tests against England. Sundar had performed brilliantly with both bat and ball in his debut test. He took four wickets and 84 runs in his first Test.
Apart from this, Mohammed Siraj, the highest wicket-taker for India in the Test series against Australia, has also been given a chance against England. Siraj took 13 wickets in just three Tests against the Kangaroos.
Ishant Sharma returned to the team
Fast bowler Ishant Sharma has returned to the Indian team for the first two Tests against England. He was not part of the team on tour to Australia due to injury. Apart from him, Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur have got place in the fast bowling department. In the spin department, R Ashwin, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav and Akshar Patel have been included.
