Taxpayers will not be able to log in on the website of the current income tax department from June 1 to June 6, 2021. The department is preparing to introduce a new e-filing web portal for taxpayers.
Early next month the Income Tax Department is preparing to introduce a new e-filing web portal for taxpayers, which can be used for ITR filing and other tax related tasks. Authorities said on Thursday that the new entryway will be more advantageous. The current online interface will be shut from June 1 to June 6.
The new portal will be operational by June 7
In a request gave on Wednesday by the office’s framework wing, crafted by moving from the old entrance to the new entry will be finished and it will be operational by June 7.
Tax will be dealt with from the new portal
Taxpayers will not be able to log in on the existing website (incometaxindiaefilling.gov.in) from June 1, 2021. A new official portal is being created by the department. It will be ready by June 7. On this, you can tackle your tax-related work. For the new website, you can visit INCOMETAX.GOV.IN.
Set date for hearing or complaint after June 10
The request has requested that the authorities fix a date after June 10 for any consultation or redressal of the protest, so that by then the citizens can comprehend the new framework well. The request likewise said that meanwhile any work planned between the citizen and the division official can be delayed.
Tax refunds worth Rs 24,792 crore issued so far this financial year
It is to be known that the Income Tax Department has issued refund of Rs 24,792 crore to more than 15 lakh taxpayers till May 17 in the current financial year. The division has given a tweet saying that the measure of individual annual assessment discount in this sum is Rs 7,458 crore. While Rs 17,334 crore has been discounted under the organization charge. The Income Tax Department, in any case, didn’t indicate the monetary year for the discount. However, it is accepted that this discount is for the government form petitioned for the monetary year 2019-20.
