In Rajasthan, where 215 more birds died due to the bird flu havoc on Saturday, a total of 17 districts have been affected by this dangerous virus so far. According to the Animal Husbandry Department, 5,130 birds have been found dead since December 25, 2020.
At the same time, the Center said that it has issued a consultation to the states regarding the investigation rules in connection with bird flu and has also asked them to maintain adequate stock of PPE kits and other necessary equipment to kill birds.
As of now, bird flu has been confirmed in ten states / union territories – Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
