Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been called the ‘wall’ of the Indian Test team, has turned 33 today. Recently, Pujara, who won India’s historic Test series in Australia, has also scored a century in T20 cricket. Pujara was the fifth batsman in the world to have faced so many balls as the batsmen of any guest team in Australia. Earlier, during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2018-19, Pujara faced 1258 balls and scored the most 521 runs.

In the third Test played in Sydney against Australia, Pujara completed his 6,000 runs in Test cricket. He became the 11th Indian batsman to do so. Pujara achieved this feat in his 134th Test innings.
With this, he also became the sixth fastest Indian batsman to cross the 6,000-run mark in Tests. The list includes Sunil Gavaskar, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid.
