BJP will send Syed Shahnawaz Hussain to Bihar Legislative Council, will enter the state politics from center

Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, a senior BJP leader and former Union Minister of Civil Aviation in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, has been nominated for the Bihar Legislative Council by-election.

Patna: By-elections are to be held on January 28 for two vacant seats of Bihar Legislative Council. In such a situation, the BJP has announced a candidate for the by-election.

Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, a senior BJP leader and former Union Minister of Civil Aviation in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, has been made a candidate. Apart from him, Mukesh Sahni, Minister of Animal Husbandry and VIP Supremo has also been made a candidate for the Legislative Council by-election from NDA.

5 candidates of Uttar Pradesh also announced

Let us know that a notice has been issued by the party’s national general secretary and headquarters in-charge Arun Singh on Saturday, in which he has announced the names of candidates for one seat of Bihar and 5 seats of the Legislative Council of Uttar Pradesh.

Syed Shahnawaz Hussain is from Supaul district

It is known that senior BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain is originally from Supaul district of Bihar. He holds a diploma in engineering. He was elected MP from Kishanganj parliamentary constituency after Lok Sabha elections in 1999. After this, while in the party, he has held many responsibilities.

It is known that the seat of former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and former minister Vinod Narayan Jha are vacant in Bihar Legislative Council. The tenure of these two seats is till July 21, 2022. Notification for by-elections in these two seats has been issued on 11 January.

Nominations will be done by January 18 and nomination papers will be scrutinized on 19. Nomination papers will be withdrawn by 21. At the same time, voting will be from 9 am to 4 pm on 28th and the results will be released after counting the votes from 5 pm on the same day.

According to the commission, the guidelines regarding ovid-19 will be followed during the by-election. The Commission has directed the Chief Secretary, Bihar to deploy an officer during the by-election, who will ensure compliance with the instructions issued regarding Covid 19.
