Today is the fourth day of corona vaccination in the country. According to the Health Ministry, from January 16 to this morning, 4,54,049 people have been vaccinated in the country, while for the first time after 7 months, the number of active cases in the country has come down to less than 2 lakh. The number of deaths per day is now 140.
The Health Ministry said that there are more than 50,000 active cases in only 2 states in the country. There are 68,000 active cases in Kerala and 51,000 in Maharashtra. On the other hand, on the corona vaccination, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that we are not less than any level of America.
He said that 5,56,208 people were vaccinated in the US in the first week and we will cross this number in 3 days. He said that 1,37,897 people were vaccinated in the first week in Britain, while 52,000 people were vaccinated in the first week in Russia.
According to NITI Aayog member VK Paul, it is no longer appropriate to worry about adverse effects and serious problems, as the data suggests that we are comfortable. The Ministry said that we would like to assure you that both the vaccines available in the country are safe.
Paul said that if you are not taking the vaccine given to you then you are not fulfilling your social responsibility. He said that I appeal to doctors and nurses to accept the vaccine.
Paul said that a nasal vaccine is also being identified. It is being considered for Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials. If it works then it can be a game-changer.
On the Covacine controversy, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that if any serious side effects arise, the company will compensate the victim for it.
