The government has ordered 1.1 crore vaccine to Serum Institute and within 24 hours of the order, Serum Institute has provided the first consignment of Corona vaccine to the country. Dr. Patel, Additional Director of the Ministry of Family Welfare in the Government of Gujarat, has told that the Covishield vaccine from Pune will reach Ahmedabad by 10:50 am today. The second dose will come after a month. Vaccination will start on 16 January at 287 session sites.
During this time, the Gujarat Deputy CM Nitin Patel present at the airport gave the green signal for the first batch of vaccine.
