Covid-19 vaccine: Mumbai waiting for Corona Capital ends, first batch of ‘Covishield’ arrives

Covid-19 vaccine India: Mumbai’s long-awaited vaccine for Corona Capital is over. In the first phase, vaccination to 1.25 lakh health workers has been supplied. 1 lakh 39 thousand 500 vaccine has been delivered to Mumbai by Serum Institute of India. The first batch of ‘Covishield’ vaccine was brought to Mumbai via a van at 5:30 am on Wednesday morning.

Corona Capital Mumbai’s wait for the Covid-19 vaccine ends

Upon reaching Mumbai from Pune, the vaccine is placed in the South Ward of Parel. Purd’s cloud ward is considered to be a major vaccine center for Mumbai.

According to information received from BMC Additional Commissioner Suresh Kakani, rooms have been created to store the vaccine on the lower and second floors of the Parel Vaccine Center, which includes a walk-in cooler, walk-in refrigerator and ILR. It has a capacity of more than 1 million vaccine stores. Kakni said that from Parel, vaccine doses will be delivered at 4 Medical Colleges of Mumbai, 4 Peripheral Hospital and BKC Jumbo facility.

Kakani says that the vaccine reached Mumbai will be used in the first phase to 1.25 million health workers. He worked to save the lives of patients for 10 months in the coronary. He informed that before the vaccination that started on January 16, BMC has completed the vaccine dry run.

From January 16, the BMC has set up centers in 75 places in Mumbai to provide easy access to people in the vaccination campaign. In such a situation, the effort of BMC will be to fulfill the goal of applying the vaccine to 50 thousand people in a day.
