District Development Council (DDC) election counting of Jammu and Kashmir is going on.
In trends, the Guptar Manifesto Alliance (PAGD) is ahead of the BJP. Voting was held for the DDC election in eight phases in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the data till eight o’clock at night, this alliance of seven parties, including the National Conference and the People’s Democratic Party, has won 75 seats and is ahead in 40 seats. The BJP has won 51 seats and is leading in 20.
Congress has won 14 seats and is ahead in 9 seats. JKAP has won seven seats and is leading in seven. Other candidates are seen winning 52 seats.

What did Omar Abdullah say?
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah called the results and trends of the DDC election an eye-opener for the BJP and its “proxy political party”. He said that people have rejected the decision to abolish the special status of the state.
The BJP won an election victory on a seat in Kashmir for the first time on Tuesday, facing influential regional parties like the National Conference and PDP.
