Posted on February 17, 2021February 17, 2021 by Nidhi Malviya

Ravi Shankar Prasad said that through digital fraud, people are being robbed of the gross earnings. Therefore, the government is preparing to build an intelligence unit. This will help control this.

Online fraud has also increased significantly in the era of increasing digital transactions. Due to the large number of frauds, people are facing huge economic losses. So now the government is going to build a digital intelligence unit to curb digital fraud.

The government can take strong action against such companies which constantly send misleading messages to customers. In this regard, connections of companies violating the rules can be cut. It should be stopped at any cost.

It will also be easier to coordinate with telecom companies and financial institutions through DIU. There is also preparation to make an app to protect the interest of the rights of telecom customers. Customers will be able to give information about their problems on this app being developed by the Ministry.

Exercise to make digital transactions reliable

Ravi Shankar Prasad said that will strengthen people’s trust in the digital ecosystem and will make financial digital transactions more secure and reliable mainly through mobile, resulting in a boost for Digital India. Prasad has directed the officials of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to hold a meeting with telecom operators and tell them about the seriousness of the issue and ensure compliance with the rules and procedures laid down in this regard.
