As we all know what kind of quality with affordable prices Redmi provides and so does the company. Redmi is well aware of its user’s choices and preferences and keeps on coming up with new, exciting, and affordable gadgets for their customers. Be it smartphones, earbuds, power banks, or any other accessories. And here again, Redmi has come up with their all-new Redmi Earbud S which not only focuses on providing comfort but also its low price tag makes it available to all class of people. The myth that- wireless earplugs are for elite class only, considering its pricing, is now completely shattered by Redmi with their new product which is priced quite low as compared to any other in the market. The Redmi Earbuds S is said to be a re-branded version of the Redmi AirDots S which was launched in China. The MRP is Rs.2,399 but they will be giving a discount of 25% and will be selling at Rs.1,799 only. It will be available at Xiaomi’s official e-commerce website, Mi Home stores, Mi Studio outlets, and also on Amazon India. Now that we got its price-sorted without further ado lets check out its design and other important aspects:
Sound quality
Now let’s begin with the most important aspect: the sound quality. Redmi Earbuds S is mainly designed for bass performance. In short, they are offering wireless earbuds that are tuned for the lower end of the octave. So all the pop, funk, or even listeners of Indian artists(who are exceptional with bass) will love it. Calling Experience Redmi Earbuds S not only offers noise isolation but also the environmental noise cancellation. Sometimes the sound is far better than it would be from the mic of the phone. Setup and Connectivity Pairing Redmi Earbuds S to your smartphone is a pretty straightforward and easy process. It just takes about 2-3 seconds for your phone to detect them. Also, you can also pair the Redmi Earbuds S with a PC/laptop, both Windows and Mac. They do not support instant or fast pairing, not even with Redmi or Mi phones. Battery Life In this area, Redmi Earbuds S has surprised everyone. The earbuds only last up to 4-hours and about 12-hours with the case. Redmi uses MicroUSB port for charging and it nearly takes 2 hours to charge the case and almost one and a half hours to charge the earbuds. Design The first and foremost thing to know in this area is that it not at all an Airpod look alike. The design is completely different. Its shape is kind of similar to that of an egg, i.e, it is neither circular nor oval but falls somewhere in between. Made from plastic makes it extremely light. On top, there is Redmi Branding and at the bottom other regulatory information. At the back, there is a MicroUSB charging port. At the front, there is a small space to open the case with one hand. It comes in the single color black or we can say matte black, giving it a rather classy look.
Overall Review
For anyone who is looking to make a switch to wireless audio without breaking the bank, the Redmi Earbuds S is for you. The earbuds are IPX4 rated, making them usable at the gym or during a run. They are small and lightweight, which makes them more comfortable to use and also has a good battery life. Yet, some corners have been cut in order to achieve their low pricing. Also, their performance is identical to those offered by rivals like Noise, boAt, and others in this segment. And, their sound signature is not fine-tuned to everyone’s liking. But if you are in the market for good wireless earbuds under Rs 2,000 then Redmi Earbuds S is an excellent option.
