Gambhir said the office said that he will start the first restaurant in Gandhi Nagar on Thursday, after which a similar restaurant will be opened in Ashok Nagar on Republic Day.
It is regrettable to see that homeless and destitute people are unable to get bread for two times in a day.
Gambhir has planned to open at least one ‘Jan Rasoi’ eatery in ten Delhi Assembly constituencies.
The statement from the MP’s office said, “Jan Kitchen, which will be opened in Gandhi Nagar, one of the largest wholesale textile markets of the country, will be fully modern, where food will be provided for one rupee of the needy people.”
According to the statement, there will be a seating arrangement of 100 people at a time, but due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, only 50 people will be allowed to sit. Rice, pulses and vegetables will be given in the lunch.
The statement said that the project will be funded from the personal resources of the Gautam Gambhir Foundation and MP and the government’s help will not be taken.
