According to government data, gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to fall by 7.7 percent in the current financial year 2020-21.

New Delhi: The country’s economy is expected to decline by 7.7 percent in the current financial year (2020-21). This has led to a 4.2 percent increase in gross domestic product (GDP) in the last fiscal year 2019-20.

The economy will come down in the current financial year due to the impact of the Kovid-19 epidemic. The first advance estimate of national income released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) says that almost all sectors of the economy, except agriculture, will decline.
