The Union Health Secretary has advised the states to work swiftly to break the corona transmission.
The Ministry of Health has written a letter to 5 states advising them to speed up vaccination of health care and frontline workers.
New Delhi: Corona virus epidemic cases are increasing in many states of India. In view of this, the Union Health Ministry has sent high level multi-disciplinary teams in 10 states. These states are Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Jammu Kashmir.
This high level team will consist of three members and will have officials from the Union Health Ministry. This team will be headed by an officer of joint secretary level. This team will not only find out why cases are increasing in these states. Rather, it will also work on how the cases are reduced with the officers and health authorities of the states.
Positiveness rate is increasing in some districts
The Center has also written to Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir that cases of corona infection are increasing in the state. Especially in some districts, the positivity rate is increasing, while there is also a decrease in the test.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has advised these states to work fast to break the corona transmission. At the same time, if a patient with any symptoms comes with antigen test negative, then his RTPCR test should be done. Not only this, testing, tracing and treatment policies should be strictly implemented.
In three districts including SBS Nagar, Kapurthala and Sri Muktsar Sahib in Punjab, Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai suburban, Thane, Amravati and Akola in Maharashtra, three districts of Madhya Pradesh, Indore, Bhopal and Betul in Madhya Pradesh, Rajnandgaon and J&K in Chhattisgarh.
