Amit Shah said, “On the basis of information received from the Uttarakhand government, 20 people have died till 5 pm last evening. 197 people are missing after the accident. Among the missing people, 139 of NTPC People, including 46 villagers and 12 villagers working on the Rishiganga project.

“13 villages disconnected”
Amit Shah further informed that the state government has announced to give four lakh rupees to the families of the deceased. Contact has been cut due to a bridge overflowing from 13 small villages near the spot. Ration and necessary medical supplies for these villages are being reached by helicopter. The central government is monitoring 24 hours. PM Modi is also keeping an eye. The state is being given all possible help.
