How to generate PIN of debit card yourself from ATM

After the ever increasing cyber fraud cases in the country, most banks now offer only debit cards after opening a savings account. His PIN number is no longer sent to your address. With the help of the mobile number you have given while opening a bank account, you can generate the PIN of your debit card yourself from that bank’s ATM.

Sending the debit card PIN of the bank by post or courier was feared by someone else, due to this, banks are now offering green PIN facility to customers. In this, you can generate the PIN of your debit card yourself with the help of ATM.

What is a green pin?
Green PIN is a self-generated PIN with the help of ATM. Earlier, paper was used in printed pin numbers coming from post or courier. It is no longer needed. Due to banks’ initiative to reduce paper usage, this pin has been named Green Pin.

How to generate PIN?
Almost all banks have the same method of generating PIN with the help of ATMs. We are telling you how to do this. First, enter the debit card in the ATM. After this you will get the option of PIN generation. If on the first screen you are not getting the option of PIN change, PIN generation, then you click on the More option option. Here you will get the option to generate PIN change / PIN.

Pin making process
Here you will get the option to generate PIN change / PIN. After clicking on it, you will be asked to enter bank account and mobile number. After confirming this, a one-time password (OTP) will come on your mobile number registered in the bank account. After inserting this OTP, the ATM machine will give you the option to create a PIN.

After this, you can make a four or six digit PIN number according to the bank account. The ATM will ask you to enter the PIN number again. After confirming it again, you will see a message on the screen which says that your PIN has been successfully changed / generated.
