Pakistan may not have allowed India to use its airspace, but India has given permission to Pakistan to use its airspace.
After a long time, the snow in relations between India and Pakistan seems to be melting. India has accepted the request of Pakistan in which the Government of Pakistan had sought permission to use Indian airspace for the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Sri Lanka, that is, to fly over India.
This is seen as a big decision because Pakistan has twice refused to allow Prime Minister Modi to use Pakistani airspace after the bitterness in relations after the removal of Section 370 from Kashmir.
Pakistan denied
In September 2019, Pakistan did not allow Prime Minister Modi to use his air space for the US tour and then this was done by Pakistan even before Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Saudi Arabia in October, after which India raised the issue with the Government of Pakistan. A strict objection was lodged against this.
Bitterness in relationships after 370
However, let us tell you that after the Pulwama attack, Prime Minister Modi was going to use Pakistani airspace for his visit to Kyrgyzstan but the decision was changed at the last moment. Since the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir, till now Pakistan has refused to allow President Kovind and Prime Minister Modi twice to use its airspace.
