The government has recently extended the last date (31 July 2021) for filing income tax returns by two months. Now the Income Tax Return (ITR) for the financial year 2020-21 can be filed till 30 September 2021. some dates are very important for the taxpayer, If you pay tax, then in the month of June. June 6 2021
The e-filing website (gov.in) of income tax returns has been closed since June 1.
The Income Tax Department has closed this website for some work related to income tax.
This website will remain closed till 6th June.
7 June 2021
The new e-filing portal (www.incometax.gov.in) will be launched on June 7.
According to the Income Tax Department, the new portal will be more user friendly which will also have many new features.
The last date for depositing TDS/TCS for the month of May is also June 7.
14 June 2021
Last date for issue of TDS certificate for tax deducted under section 194-1A, section 194-1B and section 194M of Income Tax Act in the month of April.
15 June 2021
If the TDS / TCS deducted for May 2021 has been paid without issuing a challan, then in such a situation, the government office will have to submit Form 24G by June 15.
June 29 2021
If an investment fund has done any transaction in 2020-21, then its statement under Section 9A of the Income Tax Act will have to be e-filed by 29 June 2021.
30 June 2021
Last date for submission of challan-cum-statement for tax deducted in the month of May under section 194-1A, section 194-1B and section 194M of Income Tax Act.
