The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) has made it clear that Indian players will have to undergo a corona test before checking in at a hotel in Chennai for the Test series with England. Indian players are reaching Chennai on 27 January for this series. Once there, they will enter the bio bubble, but they will have to undergo a corona test before going to the hotel.
Both the teams have been accommodated in the same hotel, which is near Chepak Stadium. After reaching Chennai and entering the bio bubble, the players of both teams will go for a seven-day quarantine.
The players who are negative will be able to enter the bio bubble. Indian players have recently returned from Australia and since then they were home quarantine.
Tomorrow both teams will reach Chennai and after that all the players will be in isolation till 2 February. In such a situation, players will get only three days for practice before the first test.
