All the countries are taking precautionary and necessary steps in this regard after the information about the new type of corona virus has emerged in Britain. Many countries have currently banned flights to and from the UK.
The Indian government has also banned aircraft coming from Britain till 31 December. Governments of several states are also taking steps in this regard.
The Karnataka government has directed international airports in Bangalore and Mangaluru to provide a list of all passengers arriving from the UK after 7 December.
The state government has said that RT-PCR checks of all passengers coming from Britain should be done. It also includes people migrating to other airports outside the UK.
The Maharashtra government took a major decision on Monday and announced the imposition of night curfew in all the municipal corporations of the state.
The government said that the night curfew would continue from December 22 to January 5 from 11 am to 6 am. With this, the state government has made it mandatory for people coming from Europe and all Middle-East countries to stay in Quarantine for 14 days.
Kerala relaxed restrictions, allowing liquor shops
While the rest of the states are taking necessary steps by showing vigilance about the new type of coronavirus, Kerala has relaxed some restrictions. The Kerala government has issued an order permitting toddy shops to open bars, wine, and beer shops as well as regulations.
Several countries including Germany-France stopped flights to Britain
About the decision to ban flights to Britain, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that European countries like Germany, Belgium and France have stopped air travel with Britain for the time being.
