The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has released a new calendar for the coming year, with the India Open Super 500 tournament being the last qualification tournament for the Tokyo Olympics and will be held from 11 to 16 May.
The Olympic qualification time for the Tokyo Games will resume from next year and the first qualifying tournament will be the Swiss Open which will be played from March 2 to 7, followed by the German Open from March 9 to 14.
The four-million-dollar India Open Tokyo will be the last of the 17 contests to score points for the Olympics.
The qualification will be decided by the Race to Tokyo ranking which will be published on 18 May 2021.
