Famous British filmmaker, director and actor Michael Apted has passed away at the age of 79. According to the Directors Guild of America, on January 7, he left this world.
Michael Apted, born in 1941, earned a name for cinema and television. In the year 1990, ‘James Bond: The World Is Not Enough’ was directed by Apted. Apart from this, he also directed films like ‘Coal Miners Daughter’ and ‘Gorillas in the Mist’.
His film ‘Cole Miners Daughter’ won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture in the Music and Comedy category. At the same time, the film’s actress Sissy Spacek won the Best Actress Oscar for her role.
