Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav announced that the cases filed against protesters against the Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC will be withdrawn if the SP government is formed in 2022 in UP.
At the same time, he has given indications of contesting elections with small parties in the Assembly elections 2022. He said that SP has always kept its doors open for small parties.
Akhilesh Yadav said these things while addressing the media on Tuesday at the SP office in Lucknow. Earlier in his presence, several leaders of various parties, including Sumiya Rana, the daughter of poet and poet Munawar Rana, joined the SP.
Among those who joined the Samajwadi Party were BSP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Gonda, Masood Alam Khan, BSP’s Lal Chandra Gautam and Khudi Ram Paswan, including many leaders and activists.
Akhilesh Yadav said that people from all parties are joining SP and many people want to join. Many small parties also want to join us, so in 2022 we will form a government with small parties.
BJP government is suppressing the voice of protest
Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP government is imposing false cases on the opponents to suppress every voice raised in the protest. Till this government does not leave, democracy cannot survive.
He said that the new agricultural law is a death warrant for farmers. SP has played an active role in the peasant movement. No party workers in the country have registered as many cases as SP leaders during the agitation. This government stopped the mandis we were making along the side of the expressway for the farmers.
Along with BSP leaders in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav, about 200 of his supporters also joined the SP.
