The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced the names of four candidates for the election of the Legislative Council. BJP national president JP Nadda has given these names a green signal. State President Swatantra Dev Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, former regional president of Purvanchal Laxman Acharya have got a chance again. At the same time, Arvind Sharma, who joined the party yesterday, has got the chance.

Like the Rajya Sabha elections, the election for the 12 seats of the Legislative Council is going to be seen in the political game. So far there has been a stir in the calm looking electoral atmosphere.

Significantly, the former Gujarat cadre IAS officer Arvind Sharma joined BJP on Thursday. At the state headquarters of BJP, State President of the party Swatantra Dev Singh, while enrolling him, said that with the entry of Arvind Sharma in the BJP, the BJP and the state and central government will get strengthened.

In the program organized at the BJP State Headquarters, the state president said that Arvind Sharma has played an important role in Gujarat, as secretary to the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi and secretary in the office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014. He said that Arvind Sharma has also worked in the field of social service in UP.
