Maharashtra COVID-19 Lockdown: Extended lockdown in Maharashtra till 31 January, night curfew already in force

In view of the corona virus epidemic, Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra has extended the period of lockdown restrictions till 31 January 2021.

Mumbai: Maharashtra government has extended lockdown restrictions to prevent the spread of corona virus till 31 January 2021. The government has appealed people not to go out of their homes to celebrate the new year. There has been an appeal to welcome the new year in your own homes and avoid going to the beach, gardens, roads.

On December 31, avoid gathering crowds at civilian beaches, gardens, especially the Gateway of India in Mumbai, Marine Lines, Girgaon Chowpatty, Juhu Chowpatty as well as public places. Follow social distance in public places as well as use masks and sanitizers.

Especially elderly people (60) and children (10) should avoid going out of the house. Do not organize any religious or cultural programs on 31 December. On the first day of the new year, devotees arrive in large numbers to visit religious places. Avoid doing this year. Do not fireworks in the new year. Follow the rules strictly. The police will take strict action against those who violate the rules.
