There are going to be some changes in 2020 Mahindra Thar. The new generation Thar will be launched this year under the new color schemes. The SUV was recently spotted testing with white and silver paint. The second change will be about the engine. The new Thar will have a better performance engine than before.

Mahindra Thar is currently being sold under two variants AX (O) and LX. The price of which is Rs 12.10 lakh to Rs 14.15 lakh. At the same time, the company has already stopped making the base variant of Thar. Thar’s waiting period has also reached 10 months. Thar has the highest wait on the hard top variant, while according to the sales report, more than half of the Thar sold so far are with automatic gearboxes. The company has increased its production capacity from 2000 to 3000 from January to meet the demand.

At the same time, the company is now working on Thar’s turbo engine. The company is preparing to launch Thar with a turbocharged petrol engine, named 180 mStallion Pro. However, not much has been known about the new engine yet. But it is believed that it will be more powerful than the current engine. The Thar currently comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder mStallion petrol engine, which gives 150 Bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. At the same time, the new 180 mStallion engine is being said that this engine will give excellent performance of 180 bhp.

The company had recently raised prices of Thar. The company had increased prices from 20 thousand to 40. During launch, Thar was introduced in three trims AX, AX (O) and LX, after which the company stopped manufacturing the AX variant. At the same time, there are also reports that the company is also working on its 5-door variant.
