Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ‘Parakram Divas’ function to be held in Kolkata on 125th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose today. Netaji’s great-grandson Chandra Kumar Bose has said that a letter was written to Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the Bose family to come to Kolkata on 23 January. He said that it is a matter of great pleasure that PM Modi has accepted this request.
Today is the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, one of the prominent faces of the country’s independence movement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ‘Parakram Divas’ ceremony to be held in Kolkata today on the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji. Earlier, PM Modi paid tribute to Netaji through a tweet.
At the same time, Subhash Chandra Bose’s great-grandson Chandra Kumar Bose has said that a letter was written to Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the Bose family to come to Kolkata on 23 January. He said that in 1965, former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri came to Kolkata and after that no Prime Minister came to Kolkata on 23 January. Chandra Kumar said that it is a matter of great pleasure that PM Modi has accepted this request.
Members of Netaji’s family and members of Azad Hind Fauj will be honored
The main event on Netaji’s birth anniversary will be held at Victoria House in Kolkata and Prime Minister Modi will attend it.. Apart from them, the surviving members of the Azad Hind Fauj will also honor their family members.
