Noida Metro will run ‘fast train’
Noida Metro managing director Ritu Maheshwari issued a statement saying that the plan will be made effective from this month. According to the Noida Metro statement, these fast trains will not stop at peak hours at 10 out of 21 stations on the Aqua line.
The stations where trains do not stop include Sector 50, Sector 101, Sector 81, Sector 83, Sector 143, Sector 144, Sector 145, Sector 146, Sector 147 and Sector 148 Metro stations.
Time saving on aqua line
The Noida Metro chief said that the average run time of Aqua Line of Sector 51 Metro Station in Noida and Depot Station in Greater Noida is 54 minutes 43 seconds on one side, which will be reduced to 36 minutes 40 seconds. In this way, the travel time of the passengers of Aqua Line will be reduced by about 9 minutes.
The average time between Sector 51 metro station and Pari Chowk metro station is currently 37 minutes, but due to fast trains running, this time will be reduced to 28 minutes 30 seconds.
Frequency of trains 7.5 minutes
Maheshwari said that on Saturday and Sunday, the fast trains on the Aqua Line will run at an interval of 15-15 minutes without leaving any station and the frequency will remain the same between Monday and Friday.
The interval of running of trains in peak hours will be 7.5 minutes while in non peak hours this time will be 10 minutes. Once the changes are implemented, the metro administration will use the board and proclamation to spread awareness among the public.
