In the year July 2020, Delhi Government had activated the VAT to 30%. For diesel, the VAT had activated at 16.75%. In the last 6-7 years the VAT has kept increasing on Petrol-Diesel and the public is stressed with such modifications. Because it is affecting their income and saving.
While everything is happening Delhi government has taken a step to give some relief. The government has eliminated some percentage of VAT on petrol prices. The previous VAT effective on Petrol was 30% that has been reduced to 19.40%. After this modification in VAT people has to spend 8rupees less per liter. The modification in petrol price will be activated from midnight.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejariwal has addressed the cabinet meeting and asked to make changes on petrol VAT. Previous rates of Petrol before the decision was announced was 103.97 rupees/liter. According to new VAT charges the petrol will be available at 95 rupees, it will surely be a relief to all Delhi Public.
