The stock market has continued to rise since the General Budget for the financial year 2021-22 presented on February 1. Today, the Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex closed up at 50255.75, up by 458.03 points, or 0.92 per cent. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty gained 142.10 points (0.97 per cent) to close at 14789.95.
Economists and market analysts believe the budget presented on Monday is a bold and growth-oriented budget. The market has also considered the proposal of privatization of two state-run banks and monetization of assets like land.

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of IndusInd Bank, Power Grid, Coal India, Divis Lab and Dr. Reddy closed on the green mark. Shree Cement, UltraTech Cement, UPL, Grasim and Maruti shares closed at the red mark.
Monitoring of sectoral index
If we look at the sectoral index, today, apart from FMCG and realty, all sectors closed on the green mark. These include banks, private banks, PSU banks, pharma, metals, finance services, auto, IT and media.
The domestic stock market opened at the highest level on January 21 after January 11. The Sensex gained 223.17 points to open at 50,015.29 above 50 thousand for the first time. During this period, the Nifty record was at 14,707.70.
During the trading session on February 2, the Sensex was up 1,461 points to reach 50,062.03. Similarly, the Nifty was trading up 433 points at 14,715.10. However, this is the intraday level of the Sensex-Nifty.
The market was open at a record level
The Sensex opened 227.66 points (0.46 per cent) higher at 50,025.38 in early trade today. The Nifty opened 75.50 points, or 0.52 per cent, at 14,723.35. After this the market continued to fluctuate.
The market was closed on Tuesday with strong momentum
After a day’s trading on Tuesday, the Sensex closed 1197.11 points or 2.46 percent higher at 49797.72. The Nifty closed with a gain of 366.65 points (2.57 per cent) at 14647.85.
