This meeting started at around two in the afternoon. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railway, Commerce and Food Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Somprakash Vigyan Bhavan held a meeting with representatives of 41 farmer organizations.
After two hours of discussion, the Union Minister joined the protesting farmers’ langar. Shortly before the two sides took a tea and lunch break, the ‘anchor food’ reached the meeting place, Vigyan Bhavan in a van. The ministers ate the food of the farmers.
