On February 1, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the General Budget for FY 2021-22 in Parliament, which was overwhelmingly welcomed by the stock markets.
The Sensex gained 3,511 points in the last two days. Today, the Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex gained 227.66 points (0.46 per cent) to open at 50,025.38 level. The National Stock Exchange’s Nifty opened 75.50 points, or 0.52 per cent, at 14,723.35.
1.19 pm – Sensex has reached 692.64 points at 50490.36. The Nifty is trading at 14856.75, up 208.90 points (1.43 per cent).
11.03 am- The stock market continues to rise. The Sensex is up 511.26 points at the level of 50308.98 and the Nifty is trading at 14803.90, up 156.05 points.
10.9 am- The BSE Sensex has gained 257.12 points and has again reached 50054.84 above 50 thousand. Talking about the Nifty, it is trading at 14739.95 with a gain of 92.10 points.
9.29 am- After falling 138 points, the market returned to awe and the Sensex was trading at 49877.94, up 80.22 points (0.16 per cent). Talking about the Nifty, it was up 11.25 points at 14659.10.
9.20 am- Sensex down 138.82 points to reach 49,658.90. The Nifty was trading down 36 points at 14611.90.
State of heavy stock
Talking about the big stocks, shares of Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Doc Reddy, ONGC and IOC opened on the green mark during initial trading today. At the same time, shares of Shree Cement, SBI, Hindalco, TCS and UPL opened on the red mark.
Sectoral index tracking
If we look at the sectoral index, then today all sectors started at the edge. These include banks, finance services, metals, pharma, auto, private banks, IT, PSU banks, FMCG, media and realty.
The Sensex was up 326.48 points (0.66 per cent) at 50124.20 during the Pre Open at 9.02 am. The Nifty was up 82.90 points (0.57 per cent) at 14730.80.
Sensex opened on last trading day
The Sensex opened 751.66 points (1.55 per cent) higher at 49452.27 on the previous trading day. At the same time, the Nifty opened at the level of 14480.60 with a gain of 199.40 points i.e. 1.40 percent.
The market was closed on Tuesday with strong momentum
After a day’s trading on Tuesday, the Sensex closed 1197.11 points or 2.46 percent higher at 49797.72. The Nifty closed with a gain of 366.65 points (2.57 per cent) at 14647.85.
