The institution named CNRI handed over six boxes filled with farmers’ signatures to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Wednesday. The Agriculture Minister was very happy with this support and he praised the new laws.
New Delhi: Voices are continuously raising in support and opposition to farmer laws.
In support of the law, today the signatures of more than three lakh farmers across the country were handed over to the government.
Today, 6 boxes filled with farmers’ signatures were handed over to Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar by the Confederation of NGOs of Rural India (CNRI).
With the support of the farmers, Gadgad Agriculture Minister once again praised the agricultural laws. Narendra Singh Tomar appealed to the farmers agitating on the laws to respect the spirit of the government.
He hoped that the agitating farmers will soon accept the government’s invitation for talks and come forward for talks.
The institution claimed that 3 lakh 13 thousand 367 farmers from 20 states across the country have signed in support of agricultural laws. These include signatures of 12895 farmers of Punjab and 127653 farmers of Haryana.
Vinod Anand, the co-ordinator of the institution and the founder member of the National Farmers Federation, said that the law is in the interest of farmers and if it is withdrawn, farmers will be forced to agitate in support of the law.
