The former Indian captain underwent angioplasty a day earlier and two more stents were inserted to remove obstruction in his heart arteries. A senior hospital official said, “Sourav Ganguly’s condition is stable.” He slept well on Thursday night. All the standards related to his health are normal. He has been shifted from CCU to private ward.
Ganguly (48) underwent angioplasty on Thursday by a team of doctors including well-known cardiologists Dr. Devi Shetty and Dr. Ashwin Mehta. After this, he was placed in the ICU. Ganguly was admitted to the hospital for the second time in a month on Wednesday due to heart problems.
Earlier, he had a mild heart attack and was diagnosed with Triple Vessel Disease. During that time, angioplasty was done to remove the blockage in the artery and a stent was inserted.
