New Delhi: As elections are getting closer in West Bengal, the blows of the political parties are intensifying. The latest controversy in the Battle of Bengal is about the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The BJP and TMC have come face to face regarding the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. While the central government decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose this time as ‘Parakram Divas’, Mamata Banerjee has announced to celebrate it as ‘Desh Nayak Divas’.
The Central Government has also constituted a committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
At the same time, Mamta government in Bengal has announced to celebrate Netaji’s birth anniversary as Desh Nayak Day. With this, the Mamta government has announced that an organization like Planning Commission will also be established in Bengal on the birth anniversary. Announcing this, Mamta Banerjee had said that the central government disbanded Netaji’s Planning Commission.
She has been continuously pressurizing the central government to declare a national holiday on Netaji’s birth anniversary. He also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this. Mamta Banerjee also uses this issue in all her rallies.
On the demand for leave across the country on Netaji’s birth anniversary, Mamta Banerjee said, “Personally I feel that after independence we have not done any remarkable work for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. I have written a letter to the Central Government demanding that a national holiday should be declared on Netaji’s birth anniversary (23 January). This is my demand.
