Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court will continue its hearing on the conversion ordinance brought by the Yogi government to prevent the incidents of Love Jihad in UP.
The High Court has today rejected the UP government’s plea for dismissing the applications by ending the hearing on the petitions filed against this ordinance and has fixed January 15 for the final hearing. The High Court has said that having a hearing in the Supreme Court also does not mean that the High Court should separate itself from the case.
At the request of the petitioners, the court postponed today’s hearing and fixed January 15 for the final hearing. The UP government had earlier filed its reply in the court on January 5.
An application has also been filed against this ordinance in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court had summoned the reply from the UP government on the ordinance in the hearing held yesterday. The UP government will have to file its reply in the Supreme Court in four weeks.
Politics has also started on the decision of the High Court
On the other hand, politics has also started on this decision of the High Court. Congress leader and former MP Pramod Tiwari has said in this case that such an ordinance was unnecessary. The government has not been able to make any concrete arrangements for the safety of women and such a step was taken to cover up their mistakes and to leave political shigufa.
