New Delhi: No foreign head of state will be the chief guest this year on the occasion of Republic Day. The government has taken this decision because of Corona. This will be the first time since 1966 that the Chief Guest will not be present in the Republic Day celebrations.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Anurag Shrivastava said, “Due to the status of Kovid-19 globally, it has been decided not to invite any foreign head of state or head of government on Republic Day.”
