The Election Commission said that votes will be cast for the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in one phase. At the same time, the votes will be counted on 2 May. With the announcement by the Election Commission, the electoral code of conduct has become effective in the state. There are total 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu. Here any party needs at least 118 seats to form an absolute majority government.
