The tenth round of talks between the central government and the farmers’ organizations is going to be held. This conversation will take place at a time when farmers’ organizations have threatened to take out a parade from Lal Qila to India Gate on 26 January.
It was 55 days on Tuesday, when farmers protested on the national capital Delhi and its borders in protest against the new three new agrarian reform laws brought by the central government in September last year. But, despite the ninth round of talks with the protesting farmers’ organizations with the government, no solution has been found so far.
Here, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will participate in the demonstration to be held on January 25 at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan in support of the farmers’ movement. NCP spokesman and state minister Nawab Malik has given this information. He said that the demonstration being organized by some farmer organizations on behalf of Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi will be supported.
Nawab Malik further said that a march to Raj Bhavan will also be taken out in protest of the new agricultural laws on behalf of the farmers. It is important to note that earlier Sharad Pawar has also opposed these laws related to agriculture and has demanded to withdraw it from the Central Government.
On the other hand, the tenth round of talks between the central government and farmer organizations is going to take place. This conversation will take place at a time when farmers’ organizations have threatened to take out a parade from Lal Qila to India Gate on 26 January.
The farmers demand that the government withdraw the three new agricultural laws along with making the MSP a part of the law. Whereas, the government argues that through these new laws, investment opportunities in the agriculture sector will open up and farmers’ income will increase. But the farmers fear that through these laws, the government will abolish the MSP and leave them to industrialists.
