The Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) has arrested two real brothers in Moradabad for exposing tax evasion through fake companies. Initial investigations have revealed tax evasion of around 25 crores. This information was given by Principal Commissioner, CGST Satyendra Vikram Singh during a conversation with journalists in his office.
He said that the departmental team took action simultaneously on Thursday at five locations each in Moradabad and Delhi, two in Haryana and one in Punjab. During this time two suspicious companies named M / s DM & Sons and Wave Agro Oils emerged.
Their owners Archit Agarwal and Anshul Aggarwal were called to the Meerut office on Friday and questioned. The owner of a company is Shweta Aggarwal. Her husband is handling her affairs. Tax evasion of Rs 25 crore has been revealed through about 20 fake firms. From here he was arrested and presented in court. The court has sent him to 14 days judicial custody.
Bills were issued from one place
Joint Commissioner Rajesh Kumar and Assistant Commissioner Ankit Gehlot said that these companies were running on paper. He did this by showing purchase to them. Bills are shown from different place.
However, these bills were issued by the accused from their home in Moradabad. Reported that oil was also recovered from two web agro godowns while no evidence related to DM Agro has been found. The location of Kathmandu was found on his Facebook account while the office was being operated from Moradabad.
