Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma said that the state will soon get 28 new private universities. In addition, 51 state colleges are being established in the state. Dinesh Sharma was talking to reporters on Wednesday. Dinesh Sharma said that letters of intent have been issued to establish 28 private universities to create an atmosphere of competition among universities. He also said that the annual examinations of students are being considered in March and April.

He further said that during Corona transition, online education came out as the best option. During the Corona period only, according to the expectation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, students pursuing higher education in the state to provide excellent class material online The Higher Education Digital Library was inaugurated.
In this, more than 73468 e-content portals have been provided free of cost to the students with the contribution of experts from 23 universities and 1700 academics and technical experts. The digital library has one lakh e-content of 134 subjects in Hindi and English languages.
He said that the success of the state government’s digital library can be gauged from the fact that the National Digital Library of India of IIT Kharagpur has sent a proposal of partnership to the state government.
He said that in order to provide excellent educational content to the students across the country, the Department of Higher Education has been approved for partnership between Digital Library of Higher Education and National Digital Library of India IIT Kharagpur.

Dinesh Sharma said that after the establishment of state universities in Azamgarh, Saharanpur, Aligarh, the state will touch new heights of development. He said that the work of establishing universities is being done at a rapid pace.
In this, 27.282 hectare land has been made available for the establishment of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University Aligarh. At the same time, more than Rs 19 crore 22 lakh has been released for purchasing 17.598 hectare land of farmers for the establishment of Saharanpur State University.
