World Cup 2011 Rewind: ICC will renew the memories of the 2011 World Cup in Hindi from its digital platforms

Through its initiative in ICC Hindi on the 10th anniversary of World Cup 2011, from February 19, those memories will be refreshed.

Who can forget the winning six over Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s chopper shot in the ICC World Cup 2011 finals and the International Cricket Council in an effort to reach out to the Hindi-speaking audience with many such memories of that memorable tournament exactly ten years later ( ICC) is going to start a new initiative ‘World Cup 2011 Rewind’ on its digital platform.

Through its initiative in ICC Hindi on the 10th anniversary of World Cup 2011, from February 19, those memories will be refreshed. The World Cup 2011 began in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from 19 February 2011 and on 2 April 2011 India won the title after 28 years by defeating Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

He further said that it will start from February 19, the day the first match of the 2011 World Cup was played. In this, the highlights of every day match, special moments and experiences of cricketers will be shared. Apart from this, special packages will also be available for India’s matches.

Finn said that efforts will be made to connect the audience with this as well. He said, we are trying to make it ‘inter active’ in which the audience can also be connected to this effort. As part of these efforts, the audience was also given a chance to vote for the ICC Decade and Best Player of the Month awards.

He told that this initiative will also be mentioned on the ICC website, but in this phase of social media, it has been originally prepared only for digital forums. He also said that such initiatives will be taken in future in many languages ​​including Bangla.

ICC Senior Broadcast Manager Ajesh Ramachandran said that the occasion is being used as an experiment and in view of the T20 World Cup to be held in India this year, such content will continue to be given by the ICC in future also.
